This Weekend in Columbus: August 4-6

Dublin Irish Festival

When: Friday 4 p.m.-Midnight; Saturday 11 a.m.-Midnight; Sunday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Where: Coffman Park, 5200 Emerald Parkway, Dublin

What: On its website, the Dublin Irish Festival says its mission is to produce an internationally-recognized event that promotes Irish music, dance, culture and tradition. The festival includes seven stages, 65 acts and more than 535 performers.

JazZoo

When: Friday, 8 p.m.

Where: Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

What: Take Five, with Byron Stripling and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra will perform jazz classics, featuring singer Lena Seikaly and singer/pianist Dave Powers.

99.7 The Blitz 25th Anniversary Great Summer Smokeout

When: Saturday, 3 p.m.

Where: Express Live!

What: The concert, featuring Halestorm, is part of the radio station's celebration of 25 years on the air and will feature music and food trucks.

Pelotonia

When: Saturday and Sunday

Where: Across Central Ohio

What: A distance bicycle ride to raise money for cancer research, with different distances for different riders, from 25 miles to a two-day ride from Columbus to Kenyon College.

Ohio State Fair

When: Friday-Sunday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: Ohio Expo Center

What: The State Fair closes Sunday, with rides, games and food options running along with performers, animals and youth agricultural competitions.

Seventh Annual FamJam

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where: Columbus Commons

What: A family enrichment event held by Franklin County Children's Services with Mayor Andrew Ginther, the FamJam offers educational and interactive opportunities. Children's Services will offer parenting tips and information on adoption, foster care and volunteer opportunities.
