Arrest made after deadly east Columbus barbershop shooting

Police said a man was arrested following a deadly shooting at an east Columbus barbershop over the weekend.

The shooting happened September 30 in the area of 1619 E. Livingston Ave. per police.

Police said 36-year-old Lamar D. Reynolds was arrested and charged with killing 43-year-old Damon Jenkins.

Police said the murder stemmed from an altercation at a nearby barbershop near 1626 E. Livingston Ave. The exact motive was unknown as of Monday morning.

This was the 98th murder in Columbus this year. The case remained under investigation.
