Athens woman arrested on felony drug trafficking
ATHENS, OHIO —
An Athens woman has been arrested for drug trafficking after a lengthy investigation.
Jessica Cremeans, 22, of Athens, Ohio, had 130 Oxycodone Hydrochloride in her possession when she was arrested. Cremeans and three passengers, two of which were teenagers, was pulled over on March 18 on SR 33 by the Criminal Interdiction Unit. She was traveling back from Michigan, were police believe she acquired the pills.
“Jessica M. Cremeans was taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail and booked on charges of first-degree felony drug trafficking, second-degree felony drug possession, third-degree felony drug trafficking, and a third-degree felony for tampering with evidence,” states Sheriff Rodney Smith.
Major Crimes Unit and Criminal Interdiction Unit did not specify how long they had been investigating or how long she had been selling the pills.
