Business owner cleans up after truck slams into it
The owner of a Union County business cleans up after a truck slammed into it.
The truck was carrying a cattle trailer with a pregnant cow inside according to the Union County Sheriff's Office.
That truck was part of a five vehicle accident started after one of the vehicles lost control while traveling on US 42.
Union County authorities said the damaged business, Buckeye Battery is structurally unsafe.
James Winning has owned Buckeye Battery for 31 years. He said the area of the crash is prone to accidents.
"We've had crash after crash after crash. We've had semi's on their side. We've had dump trucks on their side," said Winning.
The business man said another vehicle crashed into his shop several years ago. This latest crash has him rethinking about starting over again.
"This last accident was strike two and I'm not waiting in strike three."
Officials from the Union County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that alcohol did not play a factor in the multi vehicle crash, but add their investigation continues.
