Columbus Police urges caution when driving during inclement weather
Columbus Police issued an important reminder to use caution during Friday's inclement weather.
Police said they will do their best to respond to all calls, but said they may not be able to respond to non-injury accidents.
"If you do get into an accident clear the roadway, exchange information (take a picture of the person’s driver’s license and insurance card) and file a report at a later time. A downloadable form can be found at Columbus.gov/police," the police organization said in a release.
Police urged following "common sense road rules," as well as not leaving cars unattended to warm up.
They said, "It only takes a second or two for an accident or crime to take place and we want everyone to be proactive in protecting themselves and their property."
ABC 6/FOX 28 will continue to follow this winter blast closely.
