Dozens attend active shooter training in Dublin
Recent active shooter incidents are the reason why so many police department hold active shooter classes.
It was a packed house inside the Dublin Justice Center Wednesday night as officers went through several different scenarios on what you should and shouldn't do.
Police said you shouldn't just sit still in the same place, but run away from the danger. One of the lessons during the training class included barricading techniques.
They also showed several different videos of real-life attacks during an hour-long presentation.
Police have offered active shooter training throughout the year, the most recent one was the fourth active shooter training class offered to the public.
Dublin police also offer active shooter training for schools and businesses.
Police also have information about active shooter situations on the city of Dublin website.
