No damages from magnitude 3.4 earthquake in Vinton County

McARTHUR, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - The United States Geological Survey reports a 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck southeast Ohio.

The earthquake was reported around 12:25 p.m. and struck McArthur, a village in Vinton County.

Wellston Mayor Connie Pelletier tells ABC6/FOX 28 that she felt her building shake.

The epicenter of the quake was two miles south of McArthur. It was felt in Jackson County as well.

Vinton County EMA director William Fault said it has been at least 10 years since there has been an earthquake in Vinton County. There have been no reported damages.
