Firefighters contain the flames at south Columbus home

No one was hurt after flames broke out in south Columbus Thursday morning.

The fire was in the 1100 block of Maplewood Road in south Columbus around 6 a.m. Firefighters said flames were shooting from the roof of a single family home.

Fortunately, the homeowners were not home. Firefighters said the house appeared to be under a remodel.

Fire departments from Hamilton Township and the City of Columbus responded. An investigator has been called to determine the cause of the fire.

No firefighters were harmed.
