JEROME TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - Molly Daley was 65 years-old when she was diagnosed. Within two years, she would forget who her son was.

"Hardest day of my life," said her son, Joe, after she did not recognize him.

Lewy Body Dementia doesn't just affect the patient. It affects the whole family.

To help raise awareness, Joe began recording his mother's daily struggles. He launched the website Molly's Movement which has gone viral and made headlines around the world.

"The way I like to describe dementia is, if you just write down everything you can do on a chalkboard, and then every couple months, erase one of those things until you can no longer do anything," he told WSYX/WTTE from his home outside of Dublin.

LBD affects an estimated 1.4 million Americans according to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
