He's been nicknamed "Mr. Oktoberfest" and he's easy to spot.

Wayne Owens wears a hat filled with pins from different events around the world.

The 77-year-old is in charge of booking all entertainment at Columbus Oktoberfest.

"Oktoberfest is a lot of work," said Owens, "but it's also a lot of fun."

Owens attended his first Oktoberfest in 1988 and was asked to "help out" with bookings.

"I missed a few meetings and ended up in charge of it," he joked.

He doesn't just find musicians, he also brings them together. Owens also founded The Village Singers.

This year, he will be inducted into the Columbus Oktoberfest Hall of Fame.

From hosting cream puff eating contests to breaking the pretzel before the gates open, Owens is influential in just about everything you see and hear at Oktoberfest.
