A woman who lives in the Hilltop said she did all that she could to help her neighbor's son from an overdose.

Kimberly Conley said her neighbor's son died from a heroin overdose earlier this week, which included the woman banging on her door and asking for help.

"She said you have to come over and help me with my son. He's not breathing," said Conley.

Conley got on the phone with 9-1-1 and walked into her neighbor's home to help, but realized it was too late.

Conley said she will miss seeing her neighbor's son.

"He was always willing to help you do anything. He was always keeping his mom's yard clean, helping with feeding the cats in the neighborhood," said Conley.

Conley wrote a message on Facebook hours later, about what happened. She's hoping it will help addicts get the help that they need.

"There's still the same person underneath all that crazy stuff. I hope and pray someone sees this story or reads the Facebook page and they get help. It's killing people," said Conley.
