More than 90 pounds of pot found in Madison County traffic stop
DEERCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) —
It probably didn't take long for troopers to detect "an odor of marijuana" coming from a vehicle during a traffic stop, because there reportedly was 92 pounds of it in the vehicle.
Ohio State Highway Patrol says troopers pulled over a car with out-of-state registration for an unsafe lane change on I-70 in Madison County. They say the troopers smelled pot and saw criminal indicators, so they searched the vehicle.
Troopers say the packaged marijuana is valued at approximately $460,000.
The suspect, Whisky Vang, of Minneapolis was arrestsed and charged with felony possession of marijuana. If convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
