New clues revealed in murder of 24-year-old mortuary student
Police have made no arrests and won't talk about suspects in the death of a woman found one day after her 24th birthday. But they have revealed a few more details about the murder of Rachael Anderson last month.
Anderson was discovered in her apartment on Allegheny Ave in East Columbus after co-workers called the police, concerned she had not shown up for work.
Police this week revealed that Anderson was found "concealed" in a closet in the home. However, neither police nor the Franklin County coroner will disclose the cause of death.
Neighbors said they were scared and unnerved by the murder.
"She was very similar to my age and there are some younger people that live here and families that live here," said Lee Meyer, who lives in the complex.
A Columbus police detective appeared on a national news program earlier this week to talk about the case. But Sgt. Stan Latta said that is not an indication that they believe the killer has fled the Columbus area.
Anderson's death was Columbus' 11th homicide of 2018.
