Nora was moved to the Oregon Zoo 10 months after she was born in Columbus in November 2015. It was move to have her be mentored by a senior bear after she was rejected by her mother and hand-reared by zoo caretakers in Columbus. However, shortly after Nora arrived in Oregon, the senior bear died leaving her without companionship.
