A 43-year-old Columbus man was arrested Thursday in Whitehall on first-degree felony drug possession charges.

Police say they stopped and arrested Myron Colvin at the corner of Country Club Road and Livingston Avenue, and after searching his home discovered drugs and cash.

Whitehall Police say Colvin was the subject of a drug-related investigation after being seen coming to the area several times for what investigators say were meetings to sell drugs. The clients, police said, were also not from Whitehall.

Police said a search warrant at Colvin's home turned up 1,250 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills, suboxone strips and more than $5,500 in cash. Police said they believe the money was from drug sales.

“Our narcotic detectives are currently working well over 100 drug targets. This should be a notice to drug dealers, if you bring your product into Whitehall, your name is on our list,” said Deputy Chief Dan Kelso.
