Winter still in charge in Ohio
Spring may be so close but this morning’s winter weather advisory let us know Winter is still boss.
“We came from Kansas and we thought it was going to be warm and beautiful up here," said Rebecca Rather.
Instead, the Rather family found near whiteout conditions on I-70 in Madison County around 10 a.m. Friday.
“Well, it's a little bit of a bummer because we're on our way for spring break and we were expecting Spring like temperatures," Rebecca said.
But a late Winter storm like this did not dampen the spirits inside Byrne’s Pub for their 22nd annual St. Patty’s Day party. The tent was packed and that was a huge relief for Patrick Byrne who starts to look at the long range forecast a month out from the biggest day of the year for his business.
“It's been making us nervous all week but you know people are coming out having a really good time.” said Byrne.
Most roads today were just wet since road pavement temperatures were above freezing. If you are heading out on Saturday get ready for more of the same as more snow and rain showers move in for the first half of the weekend.
