Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team takes on Buckeye alumni athletes for charity
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WYSX/WTTE) —
The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team is taking on The OSU Varsity “O” Alumni Society, comprised of former Buckeye athletes, Friday night.
The game will take place at Bill Davis Stadium, next to the Schottenstein Center, at 7 p.m., gates open at 5:30 p.m.
The WWAST is comprised of competitive, athletic veterans who have lost limbs while serving their country in the military. The team includes individuals with a variety of amputations, and some are still in the service.
The mission of the team is, "To inspire and educate others while enhancing the health and welfare of Wounded Warrior Amputees."
