SAN FRANCISCO (WSYX/WTTE) -- A building under construction in San Francisco was evacuated on Wednesday after due to a 30-40 foot slab of concrete possibly falling off of the building, KGO reports.

Fire officials said the slab is on the 30th floor. They've evacuated the 37-story luxury residential tower along with 11 others buildings neighboring it.

San Francisco police closed down streets surrounding the buildings. According to KGO, a specialist was being flown in to help deal with the situation, but fire officials anticipated the effort to take several hours.

Construction on the building began in 2015.
