Texas nursing home worker assaults 96 year old resident
A 35-year-old former nursing home worker named Raymond Padua Pintor admitted to slapping a 96-year-old resident three times as she was pinned down on her bed.
Pintor said the woman was trying to get out of her bed early Monday. He said he pinned her arms down because she was kicking and scratching. He didn't tell the head nurse he slapped the patient until the end of his shift.
Police said the woman had some trouble describing what happened to her because she suffers from dementia. An officer said the woman had bruises and redness on her face and arms.
The nursing home said Pintor was immediately fired and banned from the property. They are working with police and notified the state government about what happened.
