White supremacist fliers found hanging across OSU's campus

It’s unclear if the school is looking for the person or group who put these fliers up but many student say they will be on the look out for any other similar fliers with racist messages (KTUL).

Many students aren’t liking what they see on the message boards on Oklahoma State's Stillwater campus.

Dozens of white supremacist fliers were found all over school, causing concern and anger among students.

"Yeah, I feel like it’s pretty racist," said OSU freshman Logan Bone.

Similar posters appeared on bulletin boards across campus, bearing a white nationalist message telling white students to "embrace their white identity."

"It seems like they’re sort of trying to play that angle of 'embrace the fact that your white'," said OSU junior Will Weighand. "I’m not super sure it’s for the best reasons.”

Freshman Ari Kuhns says she had to look over the flier a few times to see its message wasn’t a good one.

"Initially it doesn’t seem like something that would be racist but as you read it it definitely seems like that," said Kuhns.

The fliers were found in the Student Union and in several other parts on campus by one student who spent the whole morning taking them down.

The school released a statement saying:

"The fliers being placed in the Student Union and other locations are in direct violation of OSU policy and have been removed when discovered or reported. In addition to being placed in areas where fliers or posters are not allowed, these particular fliers are concerning because of their intent to cause division on the OSU campus. OSU works hard to fight intolerance and discrimination of any person or group. The university welcomes and values all students."

"There are several people on campus who already say they feel separated in some way and this flyer doesn’t seem like it’s going to help matters in general," said Bone.

"I think everyone is very accepting here and wouldn’t cause any issues, especially with the stance the school took on it," said Kuhns.
