On Friday, ABC 6/FOX 28 will be joining a nationwide effort to raise money for the Harvey relief efforts along the gulf coast. We are Standing Strong With Texas, and want you to join us. We will be accepting monetary donations at our studios 1261 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Sinclair Broadcast Group will also match donations up to the first $100,000.

Many organizations across Central Ohio are working to gather donations and supplies for people affected by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding.

Here are some local efforts if you'd like to help:

Rock City Church is collecting "bucket kits" for Harvey victims. They are working with Houston-area churches to get lists of the most requested supplies, and to make sure they get to the people who need them. You can get full information here.

Westport Homes is collecting items through Sunday September 10th and teaming up with partners in the areas affected to get the items to victims. Full information below:

The Ross County Humane Society is joining with local rescue groups and volunteers to travel to Texas to deliver supplies to the animal shelter, and bring back dogs to make room in Houston-area shelters. You can drop off supplies at the Ross County Humane Society or North Fork Animal Clinic through Friday. They will also be collecting supplies at Bark in the Park Saturday in Yoctangee Park.
