While four-time Grand Slam winner Kim Clijsters was getting advice on where to serve in her friendly Wimbledon ladies invitation doubles match, a suggestion came from the stands.

A man, later identified in multiple reports as Chris Quinn, suggested the former No. 1 player in the world serve directly into the body of her opponent, Conchita Martinez. Clijsters overheard and invited Quinn, a father of three daughters, to stand in Martinez to try to return a serve and Martinez' teammate Andrea Jaeger left the court.

Because Quinn had a life-long goal of playing at Wimbledon, he took his chance. Only, there was a problem.

Quinn didn't have a stitch of white clothing on him and Wimbledon rules require players to dress in all-white. Clijsters noticed before hitting the serve and began making sure Quinn met regulations by pulling a backup tennis skirt from her bag. Another player gave Quinn a white shirt. While both were difficult fits, Quinn was ready to go. On the first serve, he got a racket on the ball and returned it before missing on two other tries

After getting a photo to preserve the event, Clijsters and teammate Rennae Stubbs went on to win the match and Quinn got a memory.
