Washington police officer narrowly avoids aftermath of car accident

A police officer in Pasco, Washington narrowly missed being hit by a flipping car in the aftermath of an accident.

On its Facebook page, the Pasco Police Department said Officer Raul Cavazos had gotten out of his car to talk to a driver who was sitting still at an intersection where all traffic lights had been disabled.

After talking to the driver, Cavazos went back to his car. Less than 15 seconds later, a PT Cruiser sped through the intersection without stopping and was hit by crossing traffic. It flipped through the intersection and came to rest feet from where Cavazos was standing.
