The teen accused of robbing a PNC Bank in northeast Columbus called 911 during a hostage standoff in a nearby Taco Bell after he was shot by police.

Julius Core, 18, called emergency dispatchers after police said he held two Taco Bell employees hostage at a location on E. Dublin-Granville Rd. In the audio, Core told police he had been shot in the stomach, he didn't rob the bank, and didn't want any of the hostages to get hurt.

Before he held up in the restaurant, Core's neighbor said he returned to the apartment complex on Parkville Road and asked to hide in her home.

Core has a lengthy criminal history in the Dayton area (Montgomery County), according to his juvenile record.
