A Columbus family says the woman who set up a GoFundMe account to help them with transportation and relocation costs took the money for herself. (WSYX/WTTE)

Tipsters call almost weekly reporting abuse of Go Fund Me accounts.

This one I checked out.

According to the police report, a self-proclaimed community advocate, who earns a living as an Uber driver, stole more than $4,000 from an account she personally set up for a Columbus family. A single grandmother, raising ten of her grandchildren, alone on hope and a prayer, and welfare.

Currently, the family lives in a cramped two-bedroom home. They were counting on the money so they could move into a larger home. Now, that the money is gone, their dream remains on the back burner.
