'Safe from the Storm:' An ABC 6 severe weather special

(WSYX/WTTE)

The spring season in Central Ohio means the threat of severe weather. Last week’s storms are an example of just how quickly and dangerous the weather can turn.

Chief Meteorologist Marshall McPeek, and the ABC 6 First Warning Weather team are helping you prepare for the worst that severe weather season has to offer this Saturday, April 14th at 7 p.m. on ABC 6.

Discover which dangerous weather events can strike quickly this time of year. Plus, be introduced to the survivor of a lightning strike, and see how a near death experience has changed their life.

The show will examine the issues of climate change, answers questions about the differences between watches vs. warnings, and help individuals with special needs discover where they can turn to for help when the weather turns severe.
