#25 OSU softball loses to #16 Michigan in battle of B1G unbeatens

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- For the first time in the 2017 season, Ohio State softball suffered a loss in Big Ten play.

The 25th-ranked Buckeyes lost the opener of their doubleheader to fellow conference unbeaten, #16 Michigan, by a 7-2 final.

OSU found itself down 4-0 before taking their first swing. In the bottom half of the first, Lilli Piper hit her 10th home run of the season.

The Wolverines swept the doubleheader by winning the second game 8-4.

The doubleheader set an attendance record at Buckeye Field with 1,764 on hand.
