Former Blue Jacket Wisniewski rewarded for determination by making Olympic team

KASSEL, GERMANY -- You can hear the pride all the way from Germany as former Blue Jackets defenseman James Wisniewski discusses his recent election to the U.S. Olympic hockey team.

"It's a good thing I came over here and played well, putting up numbers and sure enough I get that call," Wisniewski told ABC-6 Saturday. "That's probably one of my proudest moments for my hockey career because of everything I've been through the last two and a half years." Those obstacles included his fourth tear of his ACL.

Wiz hoping he can write a totally new chapter late in his career. "This could be a story book ending winning a gold medal or something like that...we'll see what happens."

Wisniewski and the U.S. Olympic team opens in S. Korea Feb. 14th against Slovenia.
