Fresh off a season-opening win over defending MLS Cup champion Toronto FC, the Crew SC eager to follow up with a win in the home opener Saturday against Montreal.

"I think it gives us legitimacy after winning on the road against the team that just took the title," captain Wil Trapp told reporters during the team's media day festivities in the Upper 90 Lounge at Mapfre Stadium Thursday.

The Black and Gold made major off-season moves trading longtime stalwarts, striker Ola Kamara and midfielder Justin Meram and acquiring forward Gyasi Zardes from the Los Angeles Galaxy. Zardes scored in the Crew's big road win at Toronto.

"I just want to see a crowd that gives an atmosphere to win games," Crew Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter who led the Crew to the MLS Cup title game in 2015.

The Crew SC finished 16-12-6 in 2017 and reached the Eastern Conference finals before being eliminated by Toronto.

Saturday's home opener against the Montreal Impact will be shown at 1 pm Saturday on ABC 6
