Life Sports Camp at OSU inspires kids to think beyond the game
COLUMBUS -- Learning in Fitness and Education (LiFE) Sports camp is a sport-based positive youth development summer camp targeting youth ages 9-15 from underprivileged circumstances in Central Ohio. Daily camp activities utilize sport as an avenue to teach key social skills, such as self-control, teamwork, effort, and social responsibility.
Current camp sports include basketball, football, lacrosse, health & fitness, soccer, social dance, softball, swimming, and volleyball.
700 campers will attend the month-long camp while getting exposed to the college environment they might not otherwise see. That exposure could be the spark to take those sports and skills they've learned into high school and beyond.
