The Football Fever: Samuel blazes a trail at NFL Combine
INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Ohio State H-back Curtis Samuel certainly helped his NFL draft chase thanks to a 4.31 clocking in the 40-yard dash Saturday.
Samuel also logged a 4.37 time in his second attempt.
Only Ted Ginn, Jr. beat Samuel's time with a 4.28 burst but that was at the Ohio State Pro Day in 2007. Ginn did not run at the NFL Combine.
Samuel scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime to beat Michigan, 30-27 to cap the regular season for eventual 11-2 Buckeyes.
The Brooklyn-born running back/receiver might be selling his versatility to the pros and said he's fine player either position on the next level.
