The Football Fever: Samuel hosts local camp, readies for NFL
WESTERVILLE -- Former Buckeye H-back Curtis Samuel, who scored the game-winning touchdown against Michigan in "The Game" , is back in Central Ohio.
The second round pick of the Carolina Panthers is hosting his first football camp at Westerville North High School and readying for his own training camp as a pro which begins later this month.
Samuel was a bit coy about his role with the Panthers because he is such a versatile player. "I don't want to spoil anything right now," he joked with ABC-6.
He was still exuberant about his winning touchdown against TTUN and was especially proud of a previous play that put the Bucks in scoring position. "You're not supposed to do that stuff in college."
Samuel opens training camp with the Panthers July 26th in Spartanburg, S.C.
