Brooks Jarosz is an Emmy award-winning investigative reporter with a passion to make a difference, spark change and get people talking. He joined ABC 6 On Your Side in July 2013.

His investigations focus on accountability, exposing corruption, and tackling big issues in the community.

Previously, Jarosz spent nearly four years at WSAZ NewsChannel 3 in Charleston, West Virginia as a multimedia journalist, producer, reporter and anchor.

A proud honors graduate from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, Jarosz got his start at WOUB-TV in Athens, Ohio. He founded and served as executive producer for an in-depth news program. He also anchored and reported there for more than three years.

In 2008, Jarosz earned a prestigious fellowship with the Brian Ross Investigative Unit at ABC News. He contributed to several investigative segments airing on Good Morning America, World News, 20/20 and Nightline.

A Toledo, Ohio native, Jarosz graduated from St. John’s Jesuit High School in 2005, where he first got interested in television and journalism.

In his free time, Jarosz enjoys singing with the Columbus Symphony Chorus, cooking, cycling and traveling. He’s a former rowing coach, disc jockey and sports announcer.

He has a little dog named Rufus who likes making trips to Sylvania where Jarosz’s parents still live. Jarosz has one younger brother, Tyler.
