Parking Lot Assault: Man Says he was Attacked for Leaving Dogs in SUV

DUBLIN (Rob Wells) --A Dublin man says his quick trip to the mall turned into a nightmare last week. The 35-year-old man said he was assaulted by a woman who he thinks heard his two dogs barking while alone in his SUV in the parking lot.

The man said he was inside the Mall At Tuttle Crossing for 30 minutes, and that the temperatures were in the 70's that day. He says the woman approached him in the lot as he was leaving and began cursing at him. He adds when he got into his vehicle, the woman pounded on his windows and spit in his face.

He says the four and three year old Shepards had plenty of water, and though he didn't use it, his vehicle has a remote starter which lets him control the air conditioner, to keep his two pooches comfortable.

The man filed a report with the Columbus Police, but says he decided not to press charges.
