Arena Grand Theatre Closing
COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna) – Arena Grand movie theatre is closing after Memorial Day with final movies showing the evening of Monday, May 27, and following the renovations, the new Studio Movie Grill Arena Grand will reopen in late summer.
Columbus-based Nationwide Realty Investors announced today that Studio Movie Grill will be coming to the Arena District.
Studio Movie Grill, based in Dallas, Texas, will be renovating the space currently occupied by the Arena Grand Movie Theatre.
“We are thrilled to have a Studio Movie Grill in the Arena District,” said Nationwide Realty Investors President Brian J. Ellis. “This is a great opportunity to enhance the amenities we have in the District for our visitors and residents.”
“Studio Movie Grill is recognized nationally as the leader in the first-run, in-theater dining concept,” said Lynne McQuaker, Director of Public Relations and Outreach at Studio Movie Grill. “Our new Arena District location will feature an extensive gourmet menu, a two-story bar and lounge, one hundred percent reserved seating, crystal clear Dolby audio, and the best in today’s Christie projection systems for the highest quality movie viewing experience in the city.”
The theatre will also host events and alternate programming alongside scheduled first-run movies.
Studio Movie Grill operates a total of 13 theaters in Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, and Texas.
The Arena District theatre is the company’s first location in Ohio.
