Franklin County Coroner reports 7 overdoses in less than 24 hours

On Saturday, Franklin County Coroner Dr. Anahi Ortiz reported a surge in overdose deaths. 

Dr. Ortiz said seven peopled have died of overdoses in the past 24 hours. 

"Amidst the turmoil today, seven people lost their lives to overdoses in Franklin County. Please carry naloxone, those who use should never use alone and should test with fentanyl test strips," Dr. Ortiz wrote on her official Twitter account. 

Dr. Ortiz is encouraging family and friends of those affected to carry naloxone an urge your loved ones to use fentanyl testing strips.
