DUBLIN, Ohio — Amber Decker knew something was different after she had her first child, Avery, five and a half years ago. She just didn’t know what it was until she saw a doctor.
“I had postpartum depression,” Decker said. “Being a mom was extremely difficult for me.”
As a way to treat her postpartum, Amber joined Fit4Mom, a group that, in part, helps new moms workout while simultaneously entertaining their children.
Often, the women exercise while singing children’s songs, like “Wheels on the Bus.”
“It is a 60-minute, full-body workout,” she said. “We incorporate cardio and strength-training, but we also engage with the kids.”
The program improved Amber’s life so much, that she decided to become a franchisee with Fit4Mom Dublin.
“There’s a whole network of people that don't know anything about each other, but we are all friends because we are moms, and we just get it.”
