Good Day Gardening: End of the season planting
Jeff Turnbull, owner of Darby Creek Nursery, was back out at the Good Day Garden this week. The garden continues to flourish and he recommends everyone to continue watering if the soil is dry about an inch down. He also said that out at the nursery they are gearing up for their big Labor Day sale and are already starting to run some deals if you’re interested in getting some landscaping items. For anyone that is interested in tearing out grass and starting new grass, now is the time to kill off your grass and be ready to put down new grass seed on September 1st because that is the best time of the year to grow grass. You should have a lush grass by October.
Stay tuned for updates for their big Labor Day sale and check out Darby Creek Nursery on Facebook.
