Newark teen earns bachelor's degree before high school diploma

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Ohio Connections Academy senior and Mount Vernon Nazarene University graduate Abigail Sanders discusses graduating college before receiving her high school diploma with Good Day Columbus’ Jackie Orozco and Maria Durant.

Sanders received her bachelor’ Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and was accepted to medical school in Seattle, Washington.

On Saturday, June 4. Sanders will receive her high school diploma at Ohio Connections Academy’s Class of 2022 during a traditional commencement ceremony at the Columbus Convention Center.
