Protest no show: Anti-Beyonce group fails to meet

Anti-Beyonce protesters failed to get in Formation.

An online group promised to demonstrate outside the NFL Headquarters, displaying their anger/frustration with Beyonce's halftime performance at the Superbowl.

The protesters didn't show up.

The tweet above shows police officers waiting for demonstrators to arrive. More than 30 Beyonce fans and members of the Black Lives Matter movement did show up to support the singer.

Some were allegedly upset over Beyonce's political performance and her dancers' wardrobe during the show. Their outfits paid tribute to The Black Panthers group, which some say is "anti-police."

Others applauded her embracing the history of black activism and of her own identity. Her new song "Formation," which she sang during her performance, includes the lyrics "I like my baby hair, with baby hair and Afros. I like my negro nose with Jackson Five nostrils."

The halftime show seen by an estimated 112 million people.
