22-year-old man shot while playing basketball in east Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A man was injured following a shooting in east Columbus on Thursday night.

Officers said the shooting happened along Scottwood Road around 8:45 p.m.

According to police, an unknown person drove by the basketball courts and fired several shots, striking a 22-year-old man.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

No suspects have been identified.
