
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Police are investigating the deadly shooting of a man near Livingston Park Saturday evening.
Columbus police said officers responded to the area of 716 Gilbert St. at around 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medics took the wounded man, identified as 24-year-old Lee Mardis Jr., to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9 p.m.
This is the 11th homicide in Columbus in 2022.
Police say a woman was with Mardis at the time of the shooting but was not injured.
No arrests have been announced.
