AEP: Power has returned to all Grove City residents following last week's severe weather
AEP Ohio reported that all Grove City residents that were without power following last week's severe weather have had their power restored by Tuesday morning.
The power company's workers pulled several overtime shifts to restore power to the community that was hit by an EF1 tornado a week ago.
AEP Ohio said that 25 new steel poles were installed to replace wooden ones that snapped at the tornado-force winds. AEP estimated the cost of all of the repairs will exceed $1 million.
As of last Friday, less than 100 customers were without power. An AEP Ohio spokesperson said the damage made some restores more difficult than others.
AEP was expected to share an update by Tuesday afternoon.
