COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — A Merion Village drive-thru is now filling shelves with new cartons of cigarettes, cigars, and lottery tickets after alleged thieves stole nearly $20,000 in merchandise.
“They got all the cigarettes, Newports, Marlboroughs, everything,” said Zeshan Riaz manager at The Beer Dock on Frebis Avenue, after two burglars busted a drive-thru exit door and crawled underneath it to get inside.
“I was shocked,” said Riaz, “this thing never happened before.”
Security cameras captured two men break into the business June 15th, and within a matter of minutes leave behind thousands of dollars in damages.
“It’s really, really bad for the business,” said Riaz, “whatever they could grab, they grabbed.”
Columbus Police is now investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 614-645-4545.
