Equitas Health (formerly AIDS Resource Center Ohio) is gearing up for its biennial fundraising gala “Art for Life.”

With “Art for Life 2016,” Equitas Health has joined forces with the Pizzuti Collection and the Columbus Museum of Art. The collaboration will give featured artists more visibility and provide access to regional and national art collectors.

One of those featured artists is Lisa McLymont. “I put a lot of love in the piece so I’m glad that it’s being seen."

McLymont says she’s proud to be a part of this year’s event. This is the first time her art submission has been chosen. She says its great enough to have her artwork included, but she is truly honored to have her piece in the live auction.

Over the past 27 years, Art for Life has raised awareness and nearly $2.5 million for HIV/Aids services in Central Ohio.

“This event and this cause is close to my heart,” said McLymont. “I see that people are affected, and in my small way I wanna help. So donating the piece makes me feel good in that sense.”

“Art for Life 2016” is Saturday, September 24 at the Columbus Museum of Art.
