The Columbus Division of Police is searching for a suspected thief who made a two-wheeled getaway after stealing a power washer from a north Columbus neighborhood.

“Somebody came and took it, very easy,” said a woman who asked not to be identified.

Security cameras from the woman’s home show two men on bicycles ride up to the East Beaumont Road home On June 27.

One man wearing a medical mask, highway reflective vest, ball cap, grey t-shirt, and shorts, can be seen on video walking up to a truck parked in the driveway and allegedly taking a $500 power washer.

“It is very easy for them, they know what they are doing,” said the woman.

The alleged thief then puts the power washer inside a baby carrier attached to his bicycle and rides away.

Columbus Police is also investigating a power washer theft that happened a few days earlier from a Hilltop neighborhood. It's not known if the two thefts are connected.
