COLUMBUS — Burglars smashed a hole through the wall of a Franklinton gun shop early Monday morning, but it didn't appear any weapons were stolen, Columbus police said.
Officers responded to an alarm at Silver Bullet Firearms located at 1212 Sullivant Avenue shortly before 2:00 am.
They chased two people who were running down a nearby alley carrying what appeared to be duffle bags, police said. No suspects were caught.
Officers found clothing and other items that appeared to be left by the burglars.
An initial inventory check by the store's owner didn't reveal anything was missing, according to police.
Investigators were reviewing store surveillance video, as well as video from cameras attached to nearby homes.
