Duane Reed is thankful he installed home security cameras around his home, after a large package disappeared from his front porch.

"Rhey are a blessing, I am so glad I did get them," said Reed, a day after crooks stole a package from his South Columbus front door. "The guy was a coward taking off running like he did."

Security video taken from Reed's home surveillance system Tuesday night shows a dark colored car drive past Reed's Thorndale Avenue home. Seconds later the vehicle backs up and stops in front of Reed's front yard. Then a man gets out of the car, walks to the front door, and then runs off with a package filled with yard ornaments and dog treats.

"I am glad I got him on camera," said Reed.

Neighbors who witnessed the crime called police and reported the theft. The suspect was said to be wearing a dark colored shirt and shorts. ABC 6/FOX 28 began looking into the porch theft after Reed sent us the video, hoping someone will recognize the creep and turn him in.

"Hopefully with guys like you, we will catch this guy," said Reed.
