The City of Columbus has issued an emergency order banning people from riding electric scooters on sidewalks.

The news comes after Mayor Ginther proposed new regulations on September 5th.

The order also puts a 20 mile per hour speed limit on scooters, one person is allowed on each scooter, and you cannot ride with headphones in your ears.

This order will stay in place until the city council returns from summer recess.
