Columbus man charged with felony for pointing laser at police helicopter

A Central Ohio man was charged with a felony after he allegedly pointed a laser at a police helicopter.

Columbus Police said 36-year-old Eugene Robinson was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday. Police said Robinson pointed the laser at a Columbus Police helicopter as well as several other airplanes.

Officers were able to locate Robinson and the laser on Hodges Drive, south of Vanderburg Avenue.

He was charged with point a laser at an aircraft, a felony.
